1. Who We Are

DatingNav operates datingnav.com. We publish independent reviews and comparisons of dating applications and may earn an affiliate commission when you sign up through an outbound link.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of data to operate and improve the site:

• Quiz and click data — quiz answers, the resulting recommendation, an anonymous quiz-run identifier, selected source-page attribution, outbound-link metadata, a coarse device category, and event time. This is stored in Supabase and is not intended to identify you directly.
• Optional analytics — after you opt in, Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics collect usage information such as pages viewed, device and browser information, approximate location, and traffic source. Google Analytics may use first-party analytics cookies.
• Cookies and local storage — we use an essential cookie to remember your analytics choice, a short-lived signed admin cookie for authorised administrators, and local storage to preserve in-progress quiz answers and the page that started a quiz. Optional analytics do not load until you choose to accept them.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate and improve the site and quiz experience.
• To understand aggregate usage patterns and evaluate the quality of quiz recommendations.
• To measure the performance of affiliate links so we can keep content updated.

We do not sell or rent personal data. Affiliate partners receive information under their own privacy policies after you leave DatingNav through an outbound link.

4. Analytics choices

You can accept or decline optional analytics from the banner displayed on the site. Use the Privacy choices control in the lower-left corner to change a prior choice. Declining optional analytics does not prevent you from using the quiz or outbound links.

5. Data Retention

Quiz-completion and click-event records are retained for up to 90 days and then deleted by a scheduled cleanup job. We limit source-page attribution to the pathname and approved UTM fields, rather than storing arbitrary query strings.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about, access, correct, delete, or object to processing of personal data. Our event data is designed to be pseudonymous and may not be reasonably linkable to a person. If you have a concern, contact us at the address below.

7. Children's Privacy

DatingNav is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. The last-updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
